The Health Careers program prepares students for entry into the growing field of healthcare delivery and pharmacy services. Training focuses on introducing and developing basic nursing skills and pharmacy-related competencies.

Students practice and apply their skills in several clinical settings, including Head Start centers, hospitals and nursing homes. Juniors work toward passing the Rhode Island Certified Nursing Assistant Training examination.Through partnership with CVS Pharmacy, seniors have an optional training program to prepare them for employment as Pharmacy Service Assistants. Many seniors find paid internships in a variety of nursing homes, pharmacies or with health services placement agencies.
