The Academy of Information Technology comprises
Two distinct career options for students to pursue: Computer
Technology, and Digital Imaging. During the freshmen and Sophomore
years, students are given the opportunity to gain exposure
to both career options. The last two years students concentrate
on either Computer Technology or Digital Imaging.
The Academy of Information Technology (AOIT) introduces
students to the broad career opportunities in today's digital
workforce and equipts them with the personal, analytical,
technical and communication skills they need. AOIT opens the
door to new options, so that students may make sound choices
for the future.
While the courses within the curriculum are technology-based,
each course also focuses on the development of interpersonal,
written, and verbal communication skills. Achievement standards
and performance expectations are incorporated into each discipline
of the curriculum. The curriculum prepares students for all
aspects of today's culturally diverse, technological workplace.
