The ability to monitor your child's grades, attendance and any assignment information can be viewed securely through our Pinnacle Internet Viewer (PIV) feature. You will need the confidential user name and password issued to you by the school.

Considerations

• The User ID and password confidentiality is crucial - Do NOT give to other people.
• Please allow teachers turn around time to enter grades.
• This is a privilege for parents/guardians to monitor their child's progress. Any misuse or abuse of this account will result in denial of access.
• Missing assignments may be calculated in a variety of ways. Please check with your child and/or their teacher for the particular policy in the class.
• If questions arise, please visit with your child, teacher, counselor, or principal.
  
  

The username and password are as follows:
USERNAME: Student's ID Number-FLLLL (First initial of first name, first four letters of last name) Example: 123456789-jsmit (Use your name not your students.)
PASSWORD: Student's Date of Birth (No formatting characters) Example: MMDDYYYY

The Student's ID number is on their schedule.

Davies Grading Policy

At Davies a passing grade is 70 and above for all classes. Students who earn a 3.5 GPA or higher in a quarter will receive High Honors for the quarter grading period, students who earn a 3.0 – 3.49 GPA will receive Honors. Seniors who are RI Honor Society members may be exempted from final exams. They are exempted only with a 90% average and at the teacher’s discretion. No other students may be exempted from exams. Students who fail a class may be eligible for summer credit recovery. 

Grades are not determined solely by tests and exams. Employability Skills are also considered when grades are calculated (in Technical Areas only), and can be worth up to 20% (but not more) of the quarterly grades. Employability skills take into consideration characteristics that will help students become successful in their careers: attendance, punctuality, preparation and cooperation/behavioral expectations.

En Davies un grado aprobado es 70 o más para todas las clases. Los estudiantes que obtengan un promedio de grado 3.5 o más en un trimestre recibirán altos honores por el período de calificaciones trimestre, los estudiantes que obtengan un promedio de grado 3.0 – 3.49 recibirán honores. Las personas de la tercera edad que son miembros de la sociedad de honor de RI pueden estar eximidos de exámenes finales. Están eximidos solamente con un promedio de 90% y a discreción del maestro. Ningún otro estudiante puede ser eximido de los exámenes. Los estudiantes que no aprueban una clase pueden ser elegibles para recuperación de crédito de verano.

Las calificaciones no se determinan únicamente por exámenes y pruebas. Las habilidades de empleabilidad también se consideran cuando se calculan los grados (en áreas técnicas solamente), y pueden valer hasta el 20% (pero no más) de los grados trimestrales. Las habilidades de empleabilidad tienen en cuenta las características que ayudarán a los estudiantes a tener éxito en sus carreras: asistencia, puntualidad, preparación y expectativas de cooperación/comportamiento.
