  • FAFSA Support available

    To help support families with completing the FAFSA College Planning Center and College Crusade are supporting our Seniors and families in completing the FAFSA.  Please see the information below on how families can reach out for support.   

    ·        College Crusade is now able to assist seniors who are not enrolled in their program.

    ·        The College Planning Center can help any family in Rhode Island who needs support with filling out the FAFSA form.

  • FAFSA Information for Seniors

    The College Crusade is available to support your students and families in the process of completing the FAFSA form.  The advisor assigned to your high school can be reached at


    The College Crusade of Rhode Island is going to launch a new statewide FAFSA expansion program where we will offer free help and assistance virtually to seniors to help complete FAFSA's. The start date will be Tuesday, April 28th and all appointments will be held virtually. We have a team of high school advisors who are trained in FAFSA completion who work in schools in Providence, Central Falls, Pawtucket, and Woonsocket, as well as Cranston High School East and William M. Davies Jr. Career and Technical High School. 


    Our advisors will first focus on helping students to complete FAFSA's in the schools that we already have partnerships with, both crusaders and non-crusaders. Then we will open up our services to other schools and in other districts mid-May. 


    If you would please be able to help spread and share the word to students and families regarding this FAFSA assistance, we would greatly appreciate it! We can help to increase the FAFSA completion rates at your schools. Thank you for your assistance in this matter, we greatly appreciate it!

  • Dear Students,

    We have been working hard to ensure that you have the technology you need to meet the demands of your new online learning environment. As we move forward, we will limit when you can come to the building for technology repairs or to pick up loaner equipment.
    Our new technology exchange day will be on Tuesdays. You must complete the Google form before you can come to Davies. This form will tell us what problem you are having and just as important when you plan to stop by. You must fill out this form EVERY time you need assistance with your Chromebook so save this email! 
    Davies will be open on Tuesdays from 7:30 - 2:30 for equipment drop off and pick up.

           *   Please come to the main entrance and wait at the sign for assistance
           *   Any items you are returning should be placed in a brown paper bag and placed on the
                cart outside
           *   Do not drop off and go, make sure someone is there to acknowledge you
           *   Repaired or loaner items will also be delivered to you in this manner
           *   Please do your best to arrive at the time you indicated
    Please let us know approximately what time you plan to arrive so someone can meet you at the front door. No one will be allowed entry into the building.

  • Hello Students,

    I was very pleased to hear that your first day of remote learning was a success overall. Your teachers were very happy to see you and to get back to teaching and learning.  A few important reminders and updates are below:
    1. You must attend your Zoom classes on M, W, and F - follow your regular schedule by joining your teachers' Zoom rooms - you can get your teachers' Zoom codes in this Zoom Directory.
    2. Overall, your teachers said that students were excellent during Zoom class meetings.  However, a few things needs to be clarified: 
    a. You should have your video function on at all times - this is how the teacher knows you are there and working.  If you don't respond to teachers' prompts to put your video on or they cannot ensure your engagement, it will be reflected in your grade.  Use the "virtual background" feature if you would like.
    b. You should be in a designated workspace during Zoom classes, not lounging in bed.  No one wants to see that.
    c. Behave appropriately at all times.  I have instructed teachers to simply remove misbehaving students from the Zoom meeting and to not let those students back in for the day.  No one has time for nonsense right now so be on your best behavior.  Students who continually misbehave will lose privileges upon return to the building.  Again, most of you were great yesterday.
    d. Make sure your Zoom account uses your full name - that's how teachers know who you are - nicknames, first names only are not enough.  Use first and last name.
    3. You must complete your assigned work by the due dates/times established by your teachers.  Teachers will still update your grades in Pinnacle so you need to do your best or it will negatively impact your grades.
    4. T and Th office hours are voluntary, but you should utilize them.  T and Th are also days for you to work on your assignments - there are no Zoom class meetings on these days.  Your teachers may schedule individual/small group office hour meetings with you on T and Th and you are expected to attend.
    5.  Check your Google Classroom and email regularly.
    In sum, you were amazing yesterday. Thanks for working through this with us - we have all been impressed by you so far.  These are stressful times - let's be supportive, cooperative, and kind.
    Have a great night - period 1 on Zoom starts at 7:45am tomorrow.

  • We are gearing up for the start of remote classes this Wednesday.  Remember - your remote classes start this Wednesday at 7:45am.  You should be ready to report to your period 1 Zoom meeting at that time.
    If you have reported a technology access issue to us, you must go to Davies main entrance between 7:30a and 3p tomorrow so your issue can be resolved.  You can still email our IT Coordinator, Mrs. Tierney (, if you are having issues getting onto Zoom or Google Classroom before Wednesday.  Alternatively, you can report your issue by filling out this form.
    We have made some tools to make it easier for you to move from one Zoom meeting to another on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.  Follow the information below to set up you Zoom schedule:
    Follow these steps:
    To locate your teacher's permanent Zoom codes, click on the Davies Zoom Directory. Feel free to save it to your Google Drive. When you click on the Zoom directory, notice that there are tabs along the bottom for each major house of the school. When on a tab, locate the specific subject area or technical area by looking for their title in yellow. The Zoom codes listed are permanent. They will not change day to day or week to week. Your teachers will not invite you to class. You should simply go to and click "Join a Meeting", then enter the code for the teacher's class you need to attend.
    Next, click on the Davies Student Zoom Schedule. Once open, click "File" then "Make a Copy". Use the Zoom Directory to locate the codes for each of your teachers. Add them into your own personalized schedule. Note the code and the time that you will be attending each class. It would be helpful to leave this schedule up on your laptop as it will guide you each day. 
    We met with 100's of students in our Zoom meetings on Thursday.  This document has answers to some frequently asked questions.
