Sgt. Victor Butler, the last known surviving member of the Tuskegee Airmen, celebrates his 100th birthday May 21. His only request was for birthday cards, and the Davies community responded. Butler was a mechanic for the Tuskegee Airmen and one of the many Black military pilots and Airmen who made history while fighting in World War II. On top of those sacrifices, the unit broke barriers and contributed to desegregating the U.S. military.

  • Memo from Director Watkins

I’m writing to let you know that we are seeing an uptick in the number of students and staff who have tested positive for COVID-19, as is consistent with other schools in our region. While these numbers are lower than what we saw in February, we do want to take this opportunity to remind everyone to stay home if you’re unwell (2 symptoms), and we encourage everyone in the Davies community to give strong consideration to wearing masks as we ride out this current wave. We’ll have masks available in the Main Entry and in the Main Office for anyone who needs one. I’ll update you as needed- let’s finish the school year strong!
