District Teacher of the Year
Each year, teachers from across Rhode Island represent their individual LEAs as District Teachers of the Year. Each District Teacher of the Year (DTOY) will serve as a liaison between the district and the RI Department of Education to share information about state initiatives, attend full and half day professional learning sessions focused on DTOY leadership, collaborate with DTOYs from across the state, and have the opportunity to apply to represent all Rhode Island educators as the 2025 State Teacher of the Year.

Seal of Biliteracy 2024
The Seal of Biliteracy is an award given by Davies to recognize students who have achieved proficiency in two or more languages by the time they graduate from high school. The purpose of the award is to encourage students to become biliterate in both their first language and a second language. In 2024, 36 Davies students received the Seal of Biliteracy, with 8 earning the Gold Seal and 28 receiving the Silver Seal.

SkillsUSA Rhode Island 2024 State Championship Results
Davies is proud to announce that this year our students brought home 10 Gold, 11 Silver, and 8 Bronze medals for a total of 29 medals. The 10 Gold medal winners will go on to Nationals in June to represent the state of Rhode Island. All of our SkillsUSA competitors will be honored at the upcoming student-run talent show on May 3 at 5pm in Davies' Cafetorium. PrepareRI Graduation - Summer 2023
Congratulations to the PrepareRI Summer Internship Class of 2023! Throughout 7-weeks this summer, PrepareRI graduates have gained work-based learning experiences working with some of Rhode Island's biggest companies. This summer, we placed 343 rising high school seniors in paid internships with 85 employer partners.
