Brown University's YEP! Program

Students standing in front of balloons spelling out YEP

Brown University’s Young Entrepreneurs of Providence Program or YEP! as it’s called, is a completely free, six-week program for Providence high school students. 6 of Davies’ students participated in YEP! which provided them with the tools they need to create change in their communities through a series of workshops, hands-on activities, and mentor relationships. Students dive deep into an issue they care about and develop an action plan to tackle the problem at its root.

Students learned about entrepreneurship and social change from professors, students, entrepreneurs, community organizers, and field experts from Brown and the local community. Students worked individually or in teams and applied lessons to their own projects with the guidance of Brown faculty and student mentors. Six teams, 24 total students, from seven high schools developed ventures that solve problems in their local communities.  Students presented their ideas at YEP! 2022 Spring Pitch event. Please join us in congratulating our students who participated.
