Halloween. A time when people dress up in various costumes and get candy. Or, alternatively, you and a bunch of friends gather in one place and watch scary movies.
Either way, it’s usually a fun night for everyone involved. This year though, was a little lackluster to say the least.
Due to high wind speeds and rain, many around Rhode Island lost power including Davies, which caused the building to be shut down for two days. Meaning, students missed the opportunity to dress up in their costumes and parade around school to show them off.
I personally was sad that I wouldn’t be able to show off my costume which is officially titled as, “A magician who’s not very good at their job but is doing their best.”
So some students took to school the day after Halloween sporting their costumes.
It’s been a tradition at Davies for quite some time to dress up on the day of scares. Here are a few examples from the past fifteen years:
Seems like things haven’t changed around here in terms of Halloween festivities so thank you to all the students who dressed up and kept the spirit alive!
