Students Work Displayed at Providence College
April 3, 2018
On Thursday, April 5, the work of Angel Cepeda, Lynzst Chhor, and Andrea Fernandez-Sierra will be on display at Providence College! The students, all sophomores in Stacy Jones' English class, will be displaying written artifacts as part of an event "Gallery Walk of English Learners." Their work can be viewed between 5 - 7 PM in The Center at Moore Hall at PC. For parking, please enter the campus via the Admiral Street/Huxley Avenue entrance. You will be directed to the Anderson Parking Garage by a gate officer.
The event is organized by RITELL (Rhode Island Teachers of English Language Learners) and RI EL Advisory Council. Photographs of last year's event, posted on RITELL's website, illuminate the artifacts created by past students -- which illuminate stories of identity and place in dual cultures.
Davies' ELL instructor Carla Wardyga explained the significance of Angel, Lynzst, and Andrea's work and inclusion in the gallery night.
