Medeiros and Rogers named Davies' Class of 2020 Valedictorian and Salutatorian

Valedictorian

The William M. Davies, Jr. Career and Technical High School is pleased to announce this year's Class of 2020 Valedictorian is Gloria Medeiros. Gloria Medeiros is a motivated student who resides in Pawtucket. She is a top student in Davies' Graphics and Interactive Media career and technical program. She used her amazing design skills to be an integral part of designing Davies' yearbook. She demonstrates the necessary skills and drive to have a promising future in graphic design. She consistently pushes herself to achieve high marks and continually learn. She consistently earns high honors and challenges herself by enrolling in multiple AP courses. She is a member of SkillsUSA and participated in the 2019 state-level SkillsUSA advertising and design contest. She's a member of the Rhode Island Honor Society and the National Technical Honor Society. With a cumulative GPA of 4.32.

Salutatorian

The William M. Davies, Jr. Career and Technical High School is pleased to announce this year's Class of 2020 Salutatorian is Stephen Rogers. Stephen Rogers resides in Pawtucket and is a top student in Davies' Pre-Engineering Technology and Robotics career and technical program. He has excellent skills in computer programing, robotics system design, and electronic circuit design. He demonstrates excellent promise to further his studies in engineering after leaving Davies. He consistently strives for excellence in everything that he does. He has earned high honors since middle school and has maintained that status since enrolling in Davies. He is an active member of SkillsUSA and received the bronze medal in 2017's state-level robotics contest. He's a member of the National Honor Society, the National Technical Honor Society, and the Rhode Island Honor Society. He exhibits the mark of dedication and ability in all that he does. He's inherently motivated and sets high goals for himself. He will attend the New England Technical Institute of Technology in the fall to pursue a degree in software engineering with a cumulative GPA of 4.237.
