    Textile Weaving Knot Tier

    Job Title: Textile Weaving Knot Tier

    Location: Cranston, RI Employment

    Type: Full Time – 2nd shift Years of Experience: 5 years plus

    Career Level: Skilled Non-Manager POSITION

    SUMMARY: Set up, operate, and tend to machines that knit, loop, weave or draw in textiles with focus on Safety, Quality and Efficient operation of the Weaving equipment:

    POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: • Load all filling yarn in knitters as required - make sure correct specification product. • Fix broken ends in looms - any number of ends and any type (warp, fill, etc…) • Fix filling drops ensuring that any drops of broken picks are fixed to ensure that the fault does not transfer into the roll. • Quality Control of all product including defect tags and grading of rolls. • Doff finished fabric rolls; load beams in loom, lay in the ends, prepare the leases and tie in using automatic equipment. • Clean the equipment prior to a new style and / or as requested to prevent off quality.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATION: • Individual must have proficient mechanical skills • Individual must have proven Weaving Knot Tier skills as well • Must be able to read and write in order to keep accurate records and have basic computer skills • Previous Textile/Knitter machine experience preferred
