    Job Description

    Job Title: Class I Engineer
    Department: Engineering
    Reports to: Chief Engineer
    Position Summary:
    Perform all essential functions of Class II Engineer plus special skills in a particular
    trade: HVAC&R as an efficient troubleshooter, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, safe,
    clean and accident free manner.
    Essential Functions:
     Attendance as scheduled is required.
     Perform maintenance and repairs in specialized areas such as HVAC&R,
    plumbing and carpentry
     Ensure guest satisfaction on each request and follow through to its completion in
    a courteous, efficient, and safe manner
     Perform all essential functions of a Class II Engineer
     Clean and maintain all equipment and work areas
     Document all parts used and parts needed to be purchased
     Report any unsafe condition to the Chief Engineer

    Experience:
     High School diploma, plus two years or its equivalent in trade school HVAC&R
     Minimum four year experience in trouble shooting of HVAC&R, plumbing,
    electrical and carpentry
     State Licenses – To maintain HVAC&R as apprenticeship licenses or higher and
    certifications
    Skills:
     Must have basic knowledge or building mechanical systems and controls, energy
    management and building maintenance skills
     Must be able to perform all basic functions of a Class II Engineer

    Physical Job Requirements:
     Frequent lifting, pushing, pulling and carrying required to inspect and repair
     Frequent bending and kneeling required to inspect and repair
     100% mobility required to quickly reach all areas of hotel in emergency situations
     Frequent standing and climbing of stairs and ladders
     Frequent need to drive company truck to get equipment and supplies
