Davies ProStart Students Connect with Alumni Leader in Rhode Island’s Hospitality Scene

Recently, our ProStart students had the unique opportunity to visit Fogo de Chão in Providence, where they were warmly welcomed by General Manager Dariella Rivas—a proud Davies alumna and 2013 ProStart competitor.

Dariella shared her inspiring journey from high school culinary student to industry leader, offering insights into the challenges and rewards of a career in hospitality. Her story highlighted the impact of the ProStart program and the doors it can open for dedicated students.

During the visit, students toured the restaurant's kitchen and dining areas, gaining firsthand knowledge of high-volume restaurant operations. They also enjoyed a meal, experiencing the flavors and service standards that define Fogo de Chão.
