How to Apply for School Year 2026-2027

Attend Our Open House

Imagine yourself at Davies! Our annual Open House happens every October. The next one is on Thursday, October 23, 2025, from 6-8 pm. This event allows families and 8th or 9th-grade students to explore all nine career & technical programs. This is a fantastic opportunity to meet administrators, teachers, staff, and current students and have your questions answered. Please note: No other tours will be offered.

Take the Entrance Exam

Eligible students interested in attending Davies must take the entrance exam, the High School Placement Test (HSPT). You can register for the exam starting at the open house or any time after. Be sure to register early, as space is limited! The 2025 exam dates are: November 1, 15, 22, December 6, & 13, 2025.

Qualifications

Students must be Rhode Island residents who are currently in 8th or 9th grade at the time of the entrance exam. Students who do not sit for the entrance exam will not be considered for admission.

Admissions Lottery

Once all testing has been completed, a computer-generated randomized lottery will be conducted to determine student acceptance and waitlist status. Students who do not meet the criteria will not be considered for admission. Families will be notified of acceptance and waitlist status by formal letter.
