Exciting News: Introducing Davies Playschool!

William M. Davies, Jr. Career & Technical High School is excited to announce the launch of Davies Playschool, a new program that will open on our campus beginning in September 2026.

We are thrilled to operate our own playschool program—one that will provide meaningful learning experiences for both preschool-aged children and Davies Career and Technical students preparing to become future educators.

Davies Playschool will be staffed by a certified preschool teacher and supported daily by students enrolled in Davies' Education Career & Technical Education (CTE) program, who are studying to become teachers themselves. This unique model will provide young children with a nurturing learning environment while giving our high school students invaluable hands-on experience working with children.

The program will serve typically developing children ages 3½ to 5 years old who are fully potty trained. To ensure a high-quality experience, enrollment will be limited to just 9 children per cohort.

Families may register for one of two daily cohorts:

Morning Session: 8:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.

Afternoon Session: 11:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.

Children will be enrolled in either the morning or afternoon session, with an expectation that families will commit to attendance five days per week.

To provide this opportunity to as many families as possible, Davies Playschool will operate in two separate enrollment cycles.

Fall Semester (9/14 – 1/15)

Spring Semester (1/25 – 5/28)

Davies Playschool is an educational, play-driven experience. While children engage in activities supporting early literacy, numeracy, social skills, and school readiness, the schedule does not include lunch or nap time. However, children will enjoy a daily snack break, and families will be asked to provide a snack for their child each day.

Donations Accepted.

Davies Playschool is expected to welcome its first cohort shortly after Labor Day.

We are excited to bring this new opportunity to life and look forward to welcoming your children to the Davies community. Through Davies Playschool, our youngest learners will learn and grow while helping to prepare the next generation of educators—a true win for children, families, and our community.
