✨ Davies Student Leader Spotlight ✨ Allyson O'Regan Rhode Island SkillsUSA State Officer
This year, Allyson O’Regan, a Rhode Island SkillsUSA State Officer, had the incredible opportunity to represent both Davies and our state at the 2025 SkillsUSA Washington Leadership and Training Institute (WLTI) in Washington, D.C.
During the four-day conference, Allyson participated in leadership training with officers from across the country, explored historic monuments, paid respects at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, and networked with industry professionals. She also visited Capitol Hill to advocate for Career and Technical Education (CTE) and continued Perkins V funding, meeting with Rhode Island’s senators’ offices to share her story about how CTE and SkillsUSA have shaped her life.
One of the highlights of her experience was earning the Statesman’s Award — a prestigious honor recognizing the leadership ability of state officers across the nation.
In Allyson’s own words:
“Overall, this experience was not only inspiring but truly life-changing, and I am grateful to have represented Rhode Island and Davies on such an important level.”We are so proud of Allyson for her leadership, dedication, and outstanding representation of Davies SkillsUSA Rhode Island Chapter on the national stage! 🌟👏
