Her role: As chapter treasurer, she tracks our finances and helps set reasonable pricing & budgets or fundraisers, ensuring that by the time Nationals roll around, we can send our qualifying competitors. 

Her SkillsUSA Experience: She has been a member of the SkillsUSA Davies Chapter since her Sophomore year, during which she competed in the Related Technical Math competition. She served as last year’s SkillsUSA Davies Chapter treasurer and has the honor of serving as treasurer again this year.

What’s something you didn’t expect about being in SkillsUSA?
Lucia: Something I would’ve never expected from participating in SkillsUSA is the strong sense of community it brings. As a chapter, we’ve formed friendships amongst ourselves and work well with each other. During last year’s Fall Leadership Conference and competitions, I got to see just how strong the SkillsUSA community is as a state.
