We are incredibly proud to announce that two of our female wrestlers achieved phenomenal individual success at the RIIL State Championship this past weekend. Please join us in celebrating these student-athletes:
Five young women stand on a tiered awards podium, some wearing medals and holding certificates.

  • Daphen Nyan (Gr. 9): Daphen took the top spot on the podium, winning the Individual State Championship in the 138 lbs. Girls bracket. With this victory, she officially becomes the first individual state wrestling champion in Davies school history!
Young athletes stand on a tiered podium with numbers 1 through 6, some wearing medals.
  • Abigail Puleo (Gr. 9): Abigail put on a dominant performance to earn the title of Runner-Up in the Individual State Championship in the 107 lbs. Girls bracket
To have two 9th graders reach the state finals is an extraordinary feat and a testament to their hard work, discipline, and the bright future of our wrestling program.

Congratulations, Daphen and Abigail, on your historic achievements! You have made the entire community proud.
