Our Hospitality Careers students—Aeona Lahousse, Raffi Mnatsakanian, Mario Nestor, and Jayden Cabral—brought home a silver medal at the Seafood Cook-off at Tides in Warwick on April 15! Missing first place by a narrow 2-point margin, the team’s dedication was on full display:

“Coming up with the idea for our squid recipe took over a month to test different dishes and techniques... We decided on using our soy squid recipe and making it into a gochujang based sauce.”

After weeks of testing and intense competition-day prep—including candying oranges and frying shallots—the team delivered a dish the judges loved. While we narrowly lost to Westerly, we are incredibly proud of our achievements and can’t wait to go back for the win next year!

Go Patriots!
