Celebrating Lissalin Guzman
Congratulations to Our 2026 Student of the Year
We are proud to announce that this year’s Student of the Year is Lissalin Guzman. Hailing from Pawtucket, Rhode Island, Lissalin best exemplifies the mission of Davies through her outstanding academic, technical, leadership, and personal characteristics. This prestigious school-wide honor is voted on by the entire staff, and Lissalin’s name will be engraved on the plaque in the main office to honor her lasting legacy alongside prior winners.
Lissalin has maintained an impressive cumulative GPA of 4.14 as a dedicated student in the Pre-Engineering Technology Program. Her commitment to academic and technical excellence has earned her recognition as a Presidential Excellence Scholar, as well as membership in both the National Technical Honor Society and the Rhode Island Honor Society.
Beyond the classroom, Lissalin is a prominent student leader and an accomplished competitor. She won a SkillsUSA Gold medal in 2026 and a Bronze medal in 2025 within the community service competitions. She also serves as the secretary for the Davies Rhode Island SkillsUSA chapter, participates actively in the Student Council, and is an integral member of the Davies Cross Country Team.
Lissalin is a kind-hearted individual who is always willing to help others, consistently treating her classmates and staff with respect and compassion. Her wonderful personality brings warmth and positivity to our entire school community. This fall, she will attend the Community College of Rhode Island to pursue a degree in Engineering.
Please join us in celebrating Lissalin Guzman for earning this well-deserved honor.
