Future Gen Cancer Scholars: Update from Ronella & Rocci Dennis

We are thrilled to celebrate Ronella and Rocci Dennis and recognize everything they have achieved as Future Gen Cancer Scholars. Throughout their time in the program, they have shown incredible dedication to research, leadership, and community health. Below, they share their own reflections on their recent work raising awareness about HPV and cervical cancer: 

 Returning for our second year as Future Gen Cancer Scholars, we chose to dedicate our research poster to raising critical awareness about HPV and cervical cancer. These are deeply important health issues that directly affect women and families in our community, yet they are often not talked about enough. Presenting our findings to the public allowed us to spark meaningful conversations, break down medical information into accessible facts, and empower people to prioritize early detection. Doing this work side-by-side as twins made the experience incredibly rewarding, and we are grateful for the opportunity to serve as young advocates for community health education.
